The Mausoleum Font Family is a typeface designed by Phaedra Charles and released through her independent type foundry, Undercase Type. The design was inspired by intriguing letter shapes Phaedra Charles observed on a plaque at Boston College in 2013, particularly the E, M, and W, which reminded her of Art Deco sensibilities and the typeface Serif Gothic by Herb Lubalin and Tony DeSpigna. It updates her earlier design, “Whittington.”
