Fatface Font As facets for displaying and cataloguing the attributes and qualities of a type family, for this project I was tasked with utilizing a typeface from a type foundry to create a type specimen sheet or “mailer” that folds into four quandrants. The type specimen sheet, in effect, sporting two sides (an informational side and a more expressive side) as well as two color studies.
The informational side showcases visual examples of four cases and weights in the family, a character set, a pangram, and a few sentences about the typeface. While the more expressive side showcases the character of the typeface through the use of abstraction and illustration.
